I hope you all enjoy the picture for the Christmas at the Library, It has be a great blessing for me to volunteer here all season. I be able to see a really monkey and an Kangaroo (no these two are not in the living nativity), but the handler of the animals has them in her tail er so i was very bless to hold them both, When i get the video up loaded (When i get the new cord in the mail) i will let you see the monkey climbing all over me.
Well as you can see i been very busy with the library. But i have found time to get the small Blog down for you. well here we are, i am taking a min to write my thoughts on this mile stone of history in they USA. how will it be??? it is 9:43 history is still being written. I go to do kids voting today and these kids new more about this race then when i was there age. most of them were PRESCHOOLS!!! wow i was very impress that they knew what is going on. It is change ever min, kay hagan wins.I could be here all night tell you result, but i will not. One is that you know what is going on as you watch the tube, Internet, and i got to say my little laptop can not keep up so i had to take a break from Face Book, news sites.

well History has just been changed, HIS has his hand on us and HIStory will change also. Hail to you obama, I hope the CHANGE will be made. 2008 I AM PROUD TO BE APART OF THIS HISTORY MOMENT!! WOW, yes i am happy we have OUR FRIST BLACK AMERICAN PRESIDENT!! I am do have my worries.

I will shift to tell you about what is going on well Sat i will turn 41, ouch that will hurt!! and were am have i come from........ alot that you will here one day in a book (if i will every get done) yes i did say a book. I am working on it now but we will see. SIM is not working out i have not worked going on two weeks and each week i just wait for them to call me. Yes i hurt very much and all i can do it just keep going which is very hard.

I have been selfish because i hate that i don't have what i wish, and sometime wonder why me? then i get a phone call Monday night and i found out that my friend Penny Hangman lost her battle with CANCER!! So every those i am not working, no Husband, no kids, but i have my health. So forgive me for my sour-puss face/voice that some of you have heard from me, i will try to do better. I will say that it is not easy for me, and there will be day we all get down. but Penny was always happy when you saw her, a smile on here face, i am so sorry she is gone. but i got to be happy with that my health is great. Yes we all have a get deal of money trouble but we are here and GOD what me to keep smiling for PENNY and live knowing that our lives can change day-by-day, year-by-year and me need to remember WE Can make a CHANGE for now, but to remember this is not our home. Yes i do wish I was with my Savior (forgive me for saying that but it has it true) NOW THAT HAS CHANGE and it too CANCER to wake me taking a good friend and the Lord, to say yes you are still here and i won't you here. My live will change, How? Well right now i do not no, but HE dose. Penny save me a sit near you. I love you and will miss you for awhile

well here is what i am up to, there is not much to say but i started this blog so i would like to keep it up. I am only working when i am needed so that meant i did not work at all this week. I have wrote some on my book but i do not know if i will finish or not, My Friend said that maybe it dosed not have to be a big bio, but little stories about my life, I did started writing Thurs but it was not easy. We will see.. it has been a hard week for me, I had not working, it is hard to been here all day long, and i went to church for an hours then i come up and i am by myself again. I have a lot of friend but they never call me. Plus go out and wasted money on things i do not have. I am back at the Billy Graham but it is slow there(forgive me Linda and Anne.) My dad gave me a lot of things that he have on me from me growing up to use for this "book," and it is wild to look back and see i have always had a very hard time getting job. A friend said to me that I would never be hired at a retail store because I do not have the right image that stores are looking for, it made me mad at frist, but it is so true. I sometime fell like my life is over, and what is I really trying to write a book for money?? yes that what i hope, but that should not be why i am writing it. I do what it too be fun, something i can enjoy, but i need a publisher, any one know one. then that means money witch i do not have.

I also wish i was married or had a mate to hang out with, and my parent will not say it or push it but they do wish they had grand kids, yes i know this is not going to make me happy, and i am lucky that i can come and go when i want, but hate the trough of my parent being gone and i am left here by myself. yes i have great friends out there more them some, but i am always call you all, you never call me. I do the same things most weekend most of it is going to my friend house on Friday and sat night and then another home on Sat. I love being with these friends. but i do not want them to get tried of me, and some time i would like to go to a jazz club or something like that, but that not a good place for me to go by myself. All my friends have kids so we can not go anywhere but i love being with their kids(please my fiends, and you know who u are do not get mad at me, this is not to hurt anyone it just how i feel)
And i not have the money to do online dating, and it is more heart breaking when my fiends kids are getting married, that i use to hold when they were babies. Life will go on, tomorrow is a new day and life will go on, even if i sit on the couch all day, until i go to my fiend house. but i am healthy and can go anywhere i want to. I am sorry this is not an up lifting post but it is where i am in life and i will make it work, with or without my dream coming true.

not much, just what a change, how, I am think about writing my life down, how it will turn out i do not now but i am going to try. I have been think a lot about this in the pass week. What will it look like, can i do it??? I just feel God is speaking to me to do this. any ideas??? Really I thought that at the end i would include thought from friend thought out my life so they can have and input in my life. so if you what to be thinking about that let me know. I just what to change things in my like. I am not getting any younger and i what to do this for myself, God, Friends??????? who. well, what is going on with me and Abby. I am only working 3 days a week not 5 like I though it would be. Work is very slow right now so my boss is asking different dept if they need help, some day I leave around 1pm which is not even wost my time to go down there. like today i was an hour before they had something for me to do. They said that it will pick up in Nov and Dec, some of the college student will do a short term mission for college. I do have some client that are mine that I am working on. I am learning a lot and enjoy the staff that I am working with.

Well now that fall is come our Church activities are starting back, which is great, but Winter is not far behind, I do not like the cold weather but it come with the winter. I am a co-leader with my youth group that I love. We have great kids in our youth group (yes I am proud of them.) Wed night start up also so it time to again to hang out with the youth. Next summer we are the Sr High are going to Mexico, and we have some great stuff going on through the year, and my prayer is how will God use me in the life of these kids. so be in pray with me for that and my job work load.

I have name this blog Tracey and Abby's Corner, most of you do know that Abby is my beloved cat/daughter of 12 year. She love being with mom, when I get home I sit down to working on the computer and here she come and want her mom to give her loving, so I have to move the computer and give her my time. Then when she is done she will get up and just leave or she will bite me and the leaving. Then about 30 min later she will come back on the couch and will sit near me so can I rub her. She love being outside but she only go out when I am here. When we lived in Black Mountain I would let her out when I when to work and she would come in when I got home. but I can not do that in Charlotte. She will come in and may later that night or the next day she will throw the grass she ate while she was outside, it is a nice gift for mom to clean up, and just the other week I found some under my bed, yuck, because it was hard and I will not be able to clean it up until I move my bed. At bed time she will get on the bed and will suck on me like I am a mother cat. She was wing for her mom early because her bothers and sisters got eating by something, so my Friend had to bring her to me before what every got her sis/bros got her. So on Mother day 96' Abby became my daughter and on the day I got her, I was rubbing her and she started sucking on me, so for that day on she has always has done it and I love it, and it make her very special to me. She love new thing and she will lay on them, on Suday I bought me a new pocketbook and I laid it do an in 5 sec she had found and and was asleep on it. :) that my Abbygirl.

well the first week at SIM is over with, what can i say just a lot of learning new program and thing on the computer. My First day was learn a new program for the new computer program that we will be but in place soon, we i felt so very over weld with the whole thing. My coworker came over an sat with me and let me know we will only use part of it. The rest of the week I learn somethings but for the most part i did not have one very imported part of my job was not on my computer;) so i spend most of the week learning by watching and did paper work, or i just waited until they had something for me to do, i hated that i fell so unless. So it is nice to have a desk and computer. I get to put pictures up on my desk. Well in a nutshell that is it, I will write more later.

well tomorrow i will start my job at SIM www.sim.org ( you can read more about the ministry) where i will work in the treasury department, i will have my title in my new post later this week.. Today i when there and set up my e-mail, and meet and saw all the difference department of SIM the USA side. and we also have a International side. I will work 10-6 on M,W,F, 8:30 to 4:30/5 on Thu and Thur we have chapel at 8:30 in the morning as a whole and the each department have there morning devotion.
I will share and office with two more woman, and basic what we do is see how much it will be for am person/group to go to the field. so it is a lot of computer work
I will tell more about my job later in the week.

July is great! very hot! I love it (I hate winter. i wish i could not go though winter) so far i have been to Montreat to see old friend, we have about 6 family from Westminster up there for the week before the 4TH though the end of the second week of July.
I got to Cathy Drew and their kids (they use to be at Westminster). We had a great time, we played cards and hang out by the lake. I love seeing the kids each as the grow up. They had to leave before the 4Th.

The rain held offr in the morning for the Montreat Parade, but the afternoon was a rain out. So I slept some until it stop, but by then the activity was washed out. I then when down to Black Mountain and my friend from the oldies station/band from WOXL http://www.965woxl.com/ I miss them a lot. They played for the crowd before the fireworks so the evening was great. oh, yes i forgot the Square dance at Montreat, I had to pop in there before seeing the band. you have to go there on the 4TH. The rest of the week was just enjoyed hanging out with all friends, playing cards with the Dibbles and Cauthens.

I got home a week ago, and will be leave for Fla this Sat for a week, and then I will go down to Sea Grove for our youth beach retreat. Abby Cat don't me being gone so much. (She will be glad when the trips are over.)
I have not gotten the word on my job yet, but I am hoping it start very soon after at SIM.

hello to all my friend, I am so very sorry it has taken me this long to update all of you on my job.
I called last week to find out what was going on, they still did not have all there duck in a roll. I ask if it would be ok if i could just wait until Aug. So I will be waiting until the 2nd week of Aug. I know I will have to go thought training before i get the job, I still do not know my title ect.

I love summer and I am enjoying my Summer, On Sat I went whitewater rafting, it was so great and i hope to do it again this summer. This week i am working at my church with our VBS, and be still do some volunteer work at the Billy Graham library ending time with friends at different pool. I love just being outside and enjoying the weather( Yes i love hot weather) I hate being cold I wish we just has spring, summer, and fall. I will be up in Montreat for one or two weeks in July, and then a week in Fla with My parents. to end my summer i will be with the youth group the first 3 days in Aug and then a new career at Sim!!!
I hope to get some pictures up soon

prayer request: My SR. high youth group will be leaving on Sat for NY for a mission trip, pray for a great trip, and will bring some one to Christ.

just alitte note to let every one know, I am still waiting to hear about when i will start at SIM
Today i found out they are still trying to get my "Title" approve! yes Tracey will have a title............ wow i very really had a "Title" that i did not put on my self to make my resume look good! So the past few days have been hard on me just sitting at home, going out side to sit, or going out to get my nails done today.
I took time of at the Library Monday thinking i would do something different for the holiday, but i ended up doing the same old thing, sitting around , napping and then going to my parents for dinner. wow, fun holiday what a day??? :} I will be back at the library tomorrow. it maybe slow but, hearing Bestie the cow is a lot better then the TV. I will get a lot busier now that summer is here.

Today was the big day and a turning point in my life. I was so much on edge going into this interview. on the way to SIM (Serving in Missions)
I was just as relax, knowing God has me in His hand. I knew that this would be a big turning point in my life. When i got there, my friend who set this interviewed up for me was there to welcome me. SIM is a very big place with different areas to serve, I walk inside to meet Mrs. Mimes, and her sectary meet with me, From the beginning they made feel very at ease. We begin with a prayers, the interview last about 45 min. We had a very good time getting to know me and me getting to know what SIM was all about. We talked about who i am, and what i could bring to SIM. At the end they let me know now they would go to see in what area i would fit in too. They ask me what question i had for them, and i ask if i had a job with SIM. They said YES! that they did want me to come on board. they were view impress with me. They liked me because I have a lot of skills, so now it is time for them to market me to different areas in SIM. It feel Great that i am marketable!! They are ready for me to come on board and if there was a place in there area, I would start asap. Mrs. Mims knew that God has brought me here to serve at SIM. So now my prayers for me and all you my friends is that it will not take long until that have a area for me. They, as i am also, is very excited for me to start. SIM are redoing the software on the computers so that why it will be may next week or it could be tomorrow when they called me back. At the end we prayed and gave thanks for me and the way God will use me at SIM.

Getting this interview was all because some new members in my church that volunteer for SIM, George and Ann-bitz. George keep telling Mrs. Sims about me. and so she could not wait to meet me. Toward the end of the interview i told Mrs. Mimes if she knew Bill Hayes. Bill Hayes was a professor of mine at Montreat College. He was a missionary with SIM. He also when to worked for SIM after he left Montreat. Mrs, Mimes did know him and said that she did remember seeing my resume come across her desk, about 2 years ago when Bill Hayes had passed it on to her, but at that time they were not hiring at that time. Now they are ready to hired, and God has brought me back to SIM , when we both needs someone and me, in needing of a job. So GOD is great in his on time and thought people that let Him used them.

So as i write this my whole body is aching, and i am so relieve for how long i have been waiting for my job at SIM. He knew that He has this is where His what me but i just had to wait go thought the firer to come out on the other side to know SIM is a place that he wants me. Thank you for you prayers and the prayers that i still am asking for as i wait to see where i will be placed at SIM

again looking up to the balcony. if you can see in the two pictures, you look under the projection windows,
you see round holes, this was for the air condition. It was the only one in a pubic place back in the 1940's
plus this was the only theater open to the blacks. They sit up top of the balcony,but they did not mind
at all, because they were seeing big name stars in these movie, snd they were cool from the summers heat.

just look at the detail that was used in the theatre, if you look close at the frist picture you can see some off the old tapestry. another view of the stage. To see it is wonderful?? Man I can not waited to see this theatre restored..

Hello to spring i think??? yes it is coming but winter is still holding on. Easter week I headed up to Montreat from Hallie's wedding my best friend in Black Mountain. The week was go here go there pickup this and that. I was the guess book person ( not much to it, i got off easy). no really i help thought out the whole week. I did get to see some of my other friends. but i was there for her. As you see from the picture she was so happy. Aruba was there honeymoon. Her son heath, did a wonderful sign Lang. and i whated to but it on my blog but it will not work, I am so sorry It was so great!! I was very proud of him and hallie was very impress. if you know heath I would not beleive he would do this

well it is back to Charlotte to life, Still know job, but still volunteer at the Billy library 3 days a week. I enjoy it, but it has been so slow, and when it is slow it not fun and you here the story over and over again and i get sick of hearing about how this lady dad use to beat her when she was a kid....... but when it is busy you don't hear it because your are help the guest you are busy with them and i don't hear it that much, but it is starting to pick up. If i am at the front door i sit outside and enjoy the warm weather. I love summer, i love to be hot. Yes i am sick of cold !!! that is one reason i moved down here.

When you think of or say Charlotte most days you will see new building going up all over down town, so with all these going up i set my site on onehttp://www.carolinatheatre.us/ The Carolina Theatre. Any thing being build will bring jobs my way. Well the Carolina Theatre is as you see if you go to the site, is a very old theatre that was build in the built in 1927 as part of Paramount's Publix Theatre chain. Well as i looked at the site they are looking for volunteers, so if i can not find a job i will do so more,volunteer to be out in the pubic eye. Well after e-mailing with this guy that is trying to restore it. I meet with him today, and as i walked up to the door music was coming out of the building, Phantom of the opera. As i walked in to the old but Bethe talking old theatre, i was in love and now i am on the board to help get it up an running. The sound was something that will be in my head for a very long time.
Now we are tiring to get more backer and this will be non-profit, and we are resorting it like it was in the back in 1927. just to hear how it use to be gave me an wonderful since of how This Theatre

was back in that time. And what will be attach to this you will not believe it, there will be condo, 'encore' well I just ask you to look at the web page of this condos. this is something that is done in New York 8th floor or the 20th. An Elevator to take you up to your condo, wow sign me up know more having my chair outside to get rain on any more!!!! yes, but I will only be lucky to see one if i know some who will live there. I can not wait and i am so glad to be apart of the theater, and i pray that we will start soon. Now if their is someone with the money to help me buy and keep my morgage up i would be glad to live in one of these condos! HEE HEEE i will keep wishing, ya right. Well so here to the start of my new project it dose not help with the bills,but i am very proud to be apart of the restoring of this theater. I will but picture as it start being restored. On Sat i am going to talk my parent down there and i will post picture of the way it looks now. i can not wait, we just need a few more backer to start the project. must of all the condos are sold just about 4 more need to be sold to start building encord, so if you have the money i say go for it, or like i side give it me and you can come visted me and i will go for it. well here are in 2008, starting the third month of the year. How am I doing you may say, well still looking for that career for myself. Man it has now been what going on two year with out a job, and with out a special person in my life also? Yes i am lucky i do have my parents and great friends, but God may us to work and have a mate. I know God has provide for me, but it is hard to have two dreams, he has not provided. Well I am not sure if any of my friends are reading this blog or not. Here are some picture over a girl weekends with Deb Barr, Lisa Johnston , and Leeanne Boggs. The dog is Lisa's and the bird is Deb's.
The beach picture's were made this past weekend in Dayton Beach Fla. My Good Friend Hallie had her wedding shower down at her parents house. Her Daughter(Hannah) and her new stepdaughter are in the pictures at the beach.

Me?? What am I doing??? STILL THE SAME. I keep looking for a job which you can still pray about that for me. I need a job not for money, but so i am useful. Were is God i wonder some times. It seem so many of my friends I wanted this site to be fun for me to share a new life with you, but nothing is happen like i wished. I love being in Charlotte, but it seems that ever one of my friends go things are happening to them and i am standing still. chistmas time is here and i have been a busy bee, I will write more pitures when i get my tree done and the house is pretty. I just wanted to let you know that I did work for two week at Samaritan purse in the mail room. I did enjoy it very much but it i work next year it will be the 1st shift. I worked from 4:30pm until 11:30 pm. and we ended sooner then 1st shift.
I am praying that God will bless me with a full time job before next nov. Hello all, It is Thanksgiving day and I spend it thanking pictures of the trees that still has leafs on them and they were very bright, these picture can not justifies how awesome our GOD is.

This week ends I when on the woman retreat with Westminster Church my home church in Charlotte. The speaker talk on rest. Resting is hard for us all!!! Resting in Christ that I took from it is that I need to let go of the ideal that we got to forget about living as the world tell us, and life in Him. Not just to life as He is tell me to live, but REST. What if I do not get a full time job, can I live that way, and forget the way the tell me that I grow up, go to college, get married, get a good job, have a family,etc. so now i need to let go and let God control my life. So what now???? On Sat I when to Blowing Rock, we have Sat afternoon free.

I will let you know that I do have a job for 2 or 3 weeks with the Shoe boxes with Operation Christmas Child I will be working with the mail.I know at tax season that a friend will use me some. Tonight I was talking with Mom and dad told them i would love to learn to fly!! or do the Amazing Race with Dad, or a friend. Mom just laugh and said where are you getting all this money. So my dreams keeps me going!??

Today I found out that I have a part time job with Operation Christmas Child for 4 weeks in the mail room. I also have an interview at a store on Monday which would be full time and I think i would enjoy being there it is a Maternity shop in Charlotte but they have a mini spa there also and they have some baby things also. I would enjoy the kids that came in with their mother, they have a play area for the kids, I just feel i would enjoy working there. So Keep that in prayers. I know i would be better in an office setting but what every God call me to i will go, but I hope i can get a full time job soon.

Abby is doing find, she dose not being inside all day but she love i when I come home. Abby has be a great comfort to me over the years, but she has been the best as i been going though the job search. She is there when I get home just waiting for me with big deep eyes, when i sit down, she jump on me and wanting me to love on her and as her purring start the worse of worse days just melt away. I don't know how life would be with out her.

MY YOUTH GROUP

This is my youth group that i love helping with. We have great kids!! We have done alot; like a mission trips to new orleans, ski trips, Windy Gap, Camping. At home they help with seving the homeless; " breakfast of angels", and other fun things.
I love just hanging out with them.

Well I have find my spot in the world of blogs I know that most of you know that in 2005 I felt God was calling me home to Charlotte and I did not know why but in March of 2006 I followed His Caling and came back to Charlotte and moved in with my parents (not a very smart move), but i made it and got a place of my own in Nov. When i moved i had lot of help that was needed, we moved me into a condo in 2 hours and that is that the house was setted up also, My church is great, we could not have done it without their help.

In Oct of 2006 after still no leads of a job in site, I took a course at Goodwill in Hospitality. it was a 6 weeks course and to my knowledge they would help get us a jobs in the hotal business front dest ect, and as you know their logo is 'We put people to work' well that was not so true for me and aa for all i know all my classmates.

I will fast foward to march 2007 and still know lead on jobs, Now to let you know I covered charlotte looking for a Job on the net, walking dowtown, went to ever major company, you name i did it, so in march Goodwill got me a job in a store and i like. ok so it was not what i wanted but it was money and great friend with the customers and staff. I knew it was just a trial period that lasted until Sept. Sept came and was told my period was up and we will miss you but see ya. and that was it. I have even been to temp agancy and the do not have anything for me there either. My speed in typing is not good at all ao that is a big down fall for me.

know i did go to vocational rehab which is supose to help people with hadicap (I have use them before in Asheville) long story short the did not help that made me go though all kind of test but that was it. and there was more to the story that i will not go into but they did not help at all!~!!!!

So here i am today still looking for a job and not knowing what God is doing in my life, i am volunteering at the Billy Graham libary 3 days a week. and i am applying to work in the gift shop or in another place. Well i walk in 3 weeks ago and one of the vounteer is know working at the Gife Shop!! and then two week ago i walk in and there is another vounteer working at the other job i applied for. I JUST DO NOT GET IT!!! WHY!! but i am still vounteering there for God whats me there!

So here i am each day looking at the wanted ad, applying, and wondering if i will ever find a fulltime job again, I feel i am living in a very bad dream that i can not wake up from. I get money from the govment but i want a job to be with peoples, the days i do not work at Billy Graham it is very hard to wake up to the TV or the silent and the devil tell me i am not go enough.

Back to the start of this journey,was it me wanting a change; getting tired with my live in Black Moutian? or was God really calling me Home? Well, hum, I do not know but I am over all i am happy here, I am learing to trust God, trying to understand it all.

Why do you ask why is Abby on the in my Web name, well if it was not for her life would be harder then it is. When Abby was born she was luck, her other bother and sister were kill by a wild anmails, but she live, so she is my child that God has giving me. I do know she is in my life for a reason. She will be 12 yrs of age in May but she is still a kitten at heart. She is always at the door when i come in and will always laid on my at night and let me love on her and my hard day will just roll alway.

Well more to come so check back when you can, If i left out some word please forgive me to try to get 2 1/2 yrs all in one night that is doing very well for me. My mother and my uncle will not like it and i did go back an read it before i posted it but it is getting late.love to all Trace <><
